Where are my files?
Etsy: open You, then Purchases and reviews, and click Download Files. Gumroad: open your Library, or the link in your receipt email. You get the Excel file (.xlsx) and the Quick Start guide (PDF).
How do I get the Google Sheets version?
Open the Quick Start PDF: page 1 has your Google Sheets link. Click it, choose Make a copy, and the file is yours in your own Google Drive. You need a free Google account.
Excel shows a yellow bar. What do I do?
Click Enable editing. Excel shows it for any file downloaded from the internet. The file has no macros and nothing to install.
How do I start with my own numbers?
Type over the sample numbers in the yellow cells, or delete the sample rows and type yours. Everything else, including the dashboard, updates on its own.
How do I change the currency?
Type your symbol in the Setup tab ($, €, £, CHF or anything else). The whole file uses it.
Can I use it on my phone?
The files are made for a computer screen: Excel 2016 or newer on Windows or Mac, or Google Sheets in a browser.
Does it work in Apple Numbers or LibreOffice?
Use Excel 2016 or newer, or Google Sheets. Apple Numbers and LibreOffice are not supported.
Is the file in English?
Yes, the labels are in English. The formulas work in any Excel or Google Sheets language; only the separators follow your own settings.
How do I get a new version?
Your version is in the Start Here tab. When a file improves, download it again where you bought it. The updates page lists every version.
How do I move my numbers into a new version?
Open both files. In the old one, copy your rows from the yellow cells; in the new one, paste them in the same place with Paste values. The dashboard fills in on its own.
Bookkeeping: what do I do for a new year?
Save a copy of the file for the new year, change Year starts on in Setup, and delete last year's rows. Or keep one file and just move the start date: the dashboard always shows the 12 months from that date.
Can I get a refund?
Digital files cannot be returned once downloaded. If a file does not do what its page says, write to us and we'll make it right: a fix, a new version, or a refund when we cannot fix it.
Something does not work. What now?
Write to [email protected] with the file name and what you see (a screenshot helps). A real person answers, and we'll fix it.
