The first screen

A real example
Eight products, a target of $30 an hour, sold on Etsy. These are the sample numbers shipped in the file.
- The knitted beanie sells for $26, takes 2 hours, and pays $8.39 an hour after materials and fees
- To reach $30 an hour it should be priced at $73.76
- The A4 art print pays $101.76 an hour with a 77.1% margin: that is the product to push
- 4 products out of 8 are underpriced, and the dashboard says by how much
The fees are the part everyone forgets
Makers price by feel: materials, a bit of margin, a round number. Then Etsy takes its transaction fee, the payment fee, the listing fee, and the "profit" was mostly the platform's. TrueRate puts the fees of 10 platforms in the calculation, so the hourly wage you see is the one that lands in your account.
Reverse pricing works backwards from the wage you want: it gives the minimum price for each product on each platform. You decide what to raise, what to keep, and what to stop making.
